“I will defeat Boris and win.” said Haruki Muramatsu who is the 2nd in the annual ranking of THE WORLD 2014.
The top ranker, Boris Krcmar is the player to get for Muramatsu.
Japanese ace playing at world’s stages
“Everyone is a rival, but Boris is the only one who is above me in the ranking of THE WORLD. It would be fun to compete against Shaun (Narain) though, if we will be matched against.” Muramatsu is one of the leading Japanese at the global stages. He has the highest participation record of PDC World Championship among Japanese players. Muramatsu is also an active steel-tip darts player and joined “2015 PDC Qualifying School” in Jan., and the first Japanese who obtained the PDC tour card.
I am not nice. (He laughs)
“My winnings happen to be in the great place at the right time. So they can be particularly impressive.”
As Muramatsu says, it is still fresh in our mind that he defeated Narain after their intense match and won THE WORLD in France last June. “When Narain pointed a finger in my face, I said in my mind "What are you doing!!" but the crowd was buzzing. So I took advantage of it. I drew the crowd's attention and it worked. I am not nice." He smiled.
Muramatsu is 167.5cm tall. He is the shortest player of SUPER DARTS at this moment.
“As I am short, other players may not expect much from me. But I can surprise them with my astonishing darts and get opportunities to defeat them.”
Haruki Muramatsu, the little giant is ready for the new challenge.
