-STORY
Shaun Narain is a 22-year-old Canadian.
He attracts audience with his youthful and explosive performance.
Loss in France
Narain made his sensational first appearance at THE WORLD, achieving the 2nd in the tournament in France last year.
Although he was defeated by Haruki Muramasu, Narain's overwhelming shooting power and provocative gestures toward the Japanese player in the final match were still fresh in our mind.”I was so disappointed as I missed the critical points.” Narain said.
Then he got emotional and gave provocative gestures to Muramatsu.
Because of that the crowd backed Muramatsu and booed the Canadian player. Then came the defeat.
JPY10million is whopping. I can be fainted by just thinking about it.
Narain’s response in an interview is modest and sincere contrary to his flashy performances.
“If I win 4 more times, I will be the champion. JPY10million is whopping. It is almost scary.
It is beyond my imagination. I can be fainted by just thinking about it.
Other players are very strong and I am not that confident that I can be the champion.”
Pressure from SUPER DARTS is getting Narain.
“When I imagine myself standing on the SUPER DARTS stage, I get most nervous I have ever been.
It is tremendous pressure. Even I lost in the first match, I know it is still the honor.
I am trying to accept the pressure. I have been making efforts for this one year.
So I want to win. But if I win, I would collapse in tears on the stage. I will play to the fullest by tapping my youth for my match.”
We can’t wait to see the stage performance by the young player of provocative gestures and humble comments.
