Takehiro Suzuki is one of the highly important darts players in Japan.
His outstanding talent for darts has made him one of the most powerful players in Japan and sent him to SUPER DARTS in 2009 just one year after he started darts.
Since then Suzuki has been a popular and powerful leading player in Japan.

Want to experience defeat at least once
In Suzuki’s darts career, SUPER DARTS 2009 was his turning point.
“I used to say, I want to experience defeat at least once.”（laugh）
When I first joined the stage in 2009, people said to me “Are you sure you can say that?”
After the stage, I am afraid to make such a comment, seriously.”

What he learned from the match against Hoshino
Suzuki participated in SUPER DARTS 2009. There, things changed drastically to him.
“I wouldn’t be playing like now without that SUPER DARTS experience. Everything was going great for me that year.
I was so lucky. I had advanced without losing almost any leg from the shop qualification, local qualification and Kanto region final.”
Then Suzuki was defeated at SUPER DARTS by Mitsumasa Hoshino whose goal is to make darts more popular.
“The disappointment transformed me. I got a stronger drive to win and started playing darts much harder.
It leads me to receive more sponsor offers from various companies. Thus, I can live as a pro player now.“

Suzuki keeps playing at SUPER DARTS since 2009. He is a genuine top player.
However, Suzuki doesn’t simply accept it.
Regardless of his humble comment “My skill is the lowest among the top players in Japan.“,
it is easy to see that he is very competitive and hates to lose after watching him defeated.
“I get irritated easily if I lose. I hate to be defeated so much. I am intensely competitive.“Suzuki says.
He added that he wants to behave calmly even after his loss.
But Suzuki is prone to be impulsive because he is a natural fighter.
“As I am trying to keep smiling during a match, I don't want to restrain myself after matches.
If I lost the match, I will be so disappointed that I would feel like to cry out loud.
The most regrettable thing would be that I won’t be able to say thank you with smile to everyone supported me.”
